5 Fusion Wellness POSES for FERTILITY

Fusion wellness mind + body

The main Fusion Wellness Yoga poses and Pilates movements that aid with conception aim to nourish the body, detoxify for hormonal balance/optimal health, support uterine tone, build the blood, and support healthy stress response.

Professor Mark Bowman, medical director of holistic fertility clinic Genea, says studies have found about 40 per cent of couples challenged with infertility meet the criteria for a diagnosis of anxiety or depression, or both, at their first consultation. “There is evidence that stress reduction is beneficial to fertility” he says. “Yoga promotes relaxation and may improve physical health and reduce stress.”

Yoga has proven to support in fertility as in recent Harvard-based study, women participating in yoga practices and relaxation program nearly tripled their chances of conceiving baby.

With each of these 5 Fusion Wellness poses it is encouraged you practice a Lateral Thoracic Pilates breathing technique whereby you breathe deep and wide into the lungs and exhale engaging your core, by drawing your navel slowly towards your spine (activating around 15%) and pulling up on your pelvic floor muscles (the muscles that prevent you from going to the bathroom). Attempt to keep these muscles engaged throughout the movement as you continue to breath deeply into your lungs.
