ARE YOU A PERFECTIONIST? THEN DON’T PRACTICE YOGA
Yoga is about acceptance.
Your body will definitely not be able to perform every pose perfectly, and this is not the essence of yoga anyhoo!
Yoga is body movements, breathing techniques and a vehicle to tune inwards and to check in with your mindset. Usually, at the beginning of a class it is hard to tame your mind. However, once the physical energy has been shifted, you will reach a point when your mind will calm and your thoughts will slowly pass through.
Your yoga practice will change daily depending on how much sleep you have had, how you feel emotionally, what has happened in your day, injuries, genetics, what exercise you do and your lifestyle. Surrender, and allow you body and mind dictate your practice.
